We are who we say we are

I'm Andrew Seale.

Freelance Journalist. Copywriter. Editor.

Often I take. Maybe it's something you said or something you did, or maybe something you said you said or did. I take these things. I commit them to memory. I write them down.

I’ve spent 15 years doing this as a journalist, writer and editor. 15 years of listening and noticing. 15 years of taking these moments and turning them into stories. Of people with beautiful ideas about how this world should be. Of pop stars and 14-year-olds that have achieved nuclear fusion. Of Tech CEOs and reality television casting directors. Of roller coaster designers and sea horse enthusiasts.

Editorially, I’ve told stories for The Globe and Mail, enRoute, Startup HERE, Yahoo Canada, The Toronto Star, Alternatives Journal and others. But sometimes that love of language takes me in other directions. Sometimes I work with brands and their teams to develop copy, ghostwrite commentary and refine their voice. Sometimes I write fiction.

I live in Prince Edward County with my wife, daughter, and son, and even when the vineyards bury their grapevines under mounds of dirt for the winter, we still wait for the perfect winds – the ones that make the lake an ocean – and we surf until the sun disappears.
